Clean Up, Columbia
What happens when Earth Day, Fourth Friday, Arbor Day and Clean-up Day converge? In Columbia, they’re being combined into one event being held Friday, April 25, called Clean Up, Columbia. Sponsors include the Columbia Shade Tree Commission, Columbia Park Rangers, Columbia Borough, Sahd Metal Recycling, LCSWMA, Columbia Merchants Association and Susquehanna National Heritage. Columbia Crossings and River Park will be the site of educational sessions, sustainability initiatives, 30+ environmental related vendors, food vendors and giveaways. In addition, many downtown merchants will be making Go Green Columbia Bucks available.
