So where did the unique title for this collection come from? Marion liked the way it sounded edgy while also perfectly encapsulating the pieces that make up this collection. “Some of the pieces the flower is the main subject and in other pieces the object is the main feature” she explains. Marion felt challenged to create one- of- a- kind pieces of art. She is inspired by many factors when deciding what to paint- it could be the subject, the way something moves or catches her eye. She thinks about the color selection very carefully and the complimentary colors that would look beautiful together. And from each of these small pieces, has grown a stunning body of work.
Marion Weachter was born and raised in West Willow, PA and moved to Manheim, PA in 2012. As a child, Marion always loved art and grew up with the notion that she would go to Art School. That dream never came true for her. She had children and really didn’t think about art for many years through her young adulthood. Then came some very difficult years, as she lost both her parents and her spouse. “I call it grief numb; I was grief numb for several years,” shares Marion. “In 2015, I was invited to a paint night. I never painted with acrylics prior to this, I fell in love with art all over again. I went to a few more paint nights and realized I wanted to continue learning and growing in this medium. I googled free acrylic art lessons and there I found YouTube Artist such as The Art Sherpa, Cinnamon Cooney along with several other Artists who taught me the do’s and don’ts to acrylic painting. I have grown so much as an Artist over the last few years. I realized that painting continues to help me deal with my grief numb. My husband passed from a heart attack; the painting on my business card along with the quote
“Creating Art from the Heart” reflects the matters of my heart.”
