Marjorie Prime
Creative Works of Lancaster and Ephrata Performing Arts Center announce the return of the EPAC on the Edge staged reading series with Jordan Harrison’s Marjorie Prime. This reading is set in a future where artificial intelligence is a regular part of society, and 85-year-old Marjorie is given a digital companion in the form of a young version of her deceased husband to provide comfort and companionship as her health declines. Marjorie Prime brings science fiction to the stage in an exploration of artificial intelligence, the mysteries of humanity and the way memory shapes us.
Marjorie Prime will be presented for one night only. Tickets can be purchased at ephrataperformingartscenter.com.
This performance is supported in part by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
