Homefields – Lancaster County’s oldest CSA program – will host its annual fundraiser, Picnic in the Fields, to help raise funds that will go toward preserving organic farmland in the community. The all-volunteer nonprofit organization was founded in 1993 to create homes and vocational opportunities for adults with special needs. The event will include live music by Bobbi Carmitchell, child-friendly activities, wide-ranging fare and more. (Homefields will also host its 22nd Annual Fall Classic Golf Tournament Friday, September 21.)
