Mojitos have never been more popular. Add the cranberry element and you have a festive drink for the holiday season that’s easy to make. Go online and you’ll find quite a few variations, including some that call for pomegranate. Recipe is for one drink.
- 10 Cranberries
- 1 Lime wedge
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 5 Mint leaves, plus some for garnish
- 1 shot White Rum
- Seltzer Water to taste
- In a rock (or old-fashioned) glass, combine the berries, lime wedge, sugar and mint leaves. Using a muddler (or the handle of an ice cream scoop), crush the ingredients until all the juice has been extracted from the berries and lime.
- Fill the glass with ice. Add rum. Top off with seltzer water and stir. Garnish with mint leaves or a slice of lime.
