Victoria Weimer and Connor Robick were married on September 6 at The Inn at Leola Village. While the two met in a very modern way (online), they envisioned their wedding as one that would combine timeless elegance with tradition, warmth, romance … and shoofly pie! Here, in her own words, Victoria describes how an online connection led to a walk down the aisle.

How They Met
Victoria, who is in tech sales for Cisco Systems, and Connor, who is the executive director for a youth soccer club and is the chief of partnerships for a tech company, had both relocated to Philadelphia (Mars, by the way, is in Butler County). As Victoria explains, “We matched on the dating app, The League. We had our first date on a Wednesday morning in October 2023 at Bluestone Lane Rittenhouse Café, a charming little coffee shop in the city. We spent the morning enjoying coffee and getting to know each other. From that first date, it was history.”
The Proposal
Less than a year later, in August 2024, the two were engaged. “When you know, you know!” Victoria says. “Connor proposed at sunset in the gazebo behind the Philadelphia Art Museum that overlooks the Schuylkill River,” Victoria recalls. “It was a beautiful, perfect evening. He told me he was taking me out for my birthday dinner, only to surprise me with a proposal before we even got to the restaurant.”
Let the Planning Begin!
Our vision for the wedding was timeless elegance with a warm, romantic touch. That would be achieved by incorporating soft pinks and golds throughout – from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the floral arrangements – creating a delicate and cohesive palette. The groomsmen in navy would add a classic contrast, complementing the venue’s sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere.

We looked at a few venues, but The Inn at Leola Village stood out. It proved to be an incredible venue, as it provides everything you could need in one place, from the hotel to the ceremony and reception areas, and even a space for the after-party. They also take care of catering, the flowers and the cake. It meant we could schedule meetings in one place, which was perfect, since we were coming from Philadelphia. The venue also complemented our vision. From the flowing drapery and natural light at Casa Di Fiori to the abundant flowers and refined details, the overall feel was elegant, joyful and effortlessly romantic.
Color Scheme
Our wedding colors were soft pinks, elegant golds and classic navy. The pinks and golds appeared throughout the flowers, bridesmaids’ dresses, and decor, creating a romantic and cohesive feel, while the navy worn by Connor and his groomsmen added a timeless contrast.
Floral Story

Flowers were a key part of our wedding design, bringing our vision to life with soft pink blooms accented by touches of gold. We had classic bouquets for the bridal party, as well as elevated arrangements in tall vases on tables and podiums throughout the ceremony and reception spaces. These layered florals added depth and elegance to the room, complementing the natural light and high ceilings of Casa Di Fiori. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a romantic and timeless atmosphere.
The Fashion

I traveled to Pittsburgh and Bridal Beginning, a boutique that offers the largest selection of bridal gowns in that area. I chose a lace A-line gown from Justin Alexander that featured a sheer corset bodice and Basque waist. The gown was complemented by a cathedral-length veil. My attendants were free to choose their own gowns that kept to the pink color theme. Connor and his groomsmen wore custom navy suits from Indochino.

Pre-Wedding Festivities
We didn’t miss a single chance to celebrate our engagement. The day after we got engaged, Connor surprised me with an engagement party at our home in Philadelphia. My mother-in-law hosted the most beautiful bridal tea in Pittsburgh at The Duquesne Club. My best friend Ali’s mother, Tara, who has become such a dear friend, hosted the most meaningful and heartfelt bridal shower at the Lancaster Country Club. Our rehearsal dinner, which was held in the Bella Giardino event space at The Inn at Leola Village and was hosted by my in-laws, was stunning, with every detail thoughtfully planned, from the flowers and photographer to the live harpist and welcome sign.
Ceremony Site

Our ceremony took place indoors at Casa Di Fiori, which was then transformed for dinner and the reception. The high ceilings with flowing drapery and the large windows letting in natural light created a truly enchanting setting for our special day.

Reception Venue

Our reception took place in the same breathtaking space as our ceremony. Round tables filled the room, leaving a wide dance floor in the center where we danced the night away. The 11-piece Legacy Band provided every note of music, from the ceremony to cocktail hour and through the reception. Flowers were abundant and stunning, the drinks flowed freely, and the menu, which included pork osso buco, salmon romesco and wild mushroom risotto, was perfect, with every dish as delicious as the next. Every detail was thoughtfully crafted, creating an evening that felt truly magical and unforgettable.
Song/Music for First Dance

We danced to Sweet Symphony by Jan Oladokun and featuring Chris Stapleton.
Sweet Notes
We chose a small cutting cake for the traditional bride-and-groom moment, keeping it simple and sweet. Instead of a large cake, we opted to create a Lancaster-themed dessert table filled with local favorites like Long Johns, apple and shoo fly pies, as well as other treats. It was a fun, personal touch that allowed our guests to enjoy a variety of delicious desserts while celebrating with us.
The Unique Factor
What made our wedding unique was how personal and thoughtfully curated it felt from start to finish. Having everything in one place at The Inn at Leola Village made the entire weekend seamless and special. Guests staying at the inn received welcome bags filled with Lancaster favorites, setting the tone for a weekend that was both elegant and full of local charm. Every moment flowed effortlessly, from the ceremony to the after-party, all within the same beautiful venue. We also incorporated our two cats into the names of our signature cocktails, a playful touch that made the day feel even more personal and meaningful to us.
Favorite Memory From Your Wedding Day

My favorite memory of the day was having all our favorite people in one place to celebrate such a beautiful and meaningful new chapter in our lives. Standing in that room, surrounded by so much love and joy, was the most incredible feeling. We truly felt so loved and supported!
Any Advice to Share?

My advice may sound cliché, but truly, just slow down and enjoy the day. It goes by so fast, and it’s such a special moment in your life. Take time to soak it all in and be present with the people you love most.
Honeymoon Destination
We’re spending our honeymoon in Thailand and Vietnam over Christmas. We can’t wait to explore both countries, experience the culture, enjoy the beaches, and celebrate our first holiday season as a married couple in such an unforgettable way.
