Poppy’s 2nd Annual Groundhog Day Scavenger Hunt: February 2-6, 2022

Join Poppy the Groundhog of Acorn Acres Wildlife Rehabilitation for a unique spin on a Pennsylvania tradition.

Wednesday, February 2: Groundhog Day at Ville & Rue. Poppy will make her official prognostication at 11 a.m. She will be accepting visitors until 1 p.m. Poppy pillows and towels will be available for purchase. A portion of each purchase is donated to Acorn Acres to assist with the rehabilitation of PA’s native wildlife. Coffee, muffins and a brunch charcuterie board will be available for your enjoyment.

Friday, February 4: LancasterRec will be hosting Acorn Acres Wildlife Rehabilitation for a fun and informative presentation and activity on groundhogs, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Their Senior Center and All Day Camp kids will be learning about groundhogs and meeting Poppy. Later, at 3 p.m., there will be a groundhog themed “snacks  and pictures” with Poppy at Blossom Med Spa.

Saturday, February 5: From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Poppy will be at Miesse Candies greeting guests. With every purchase over $10, with a mention of Poppy, gets a free “chocolate poo” on a stick.

Sunday, February 6: Beginning at 10 a.m., Poppy will be at Zoetropolis Cinema Stillhouse for brunch. Enjoy a special “Poppy” cocktail and a special showing of the movie, Groundhog Day (starting at 11). Poppy will be available for pictures. One lucky winner will receive the Groundhog Goodie Basket, which includes a $50 gift card to Ville & Rue, a $50 gift card to Partake-Lancaster Charcuterie and lots of groundhog-themed goodies.
