Bassist, vocalist, and composer Mali Obomsawin scored the Academy Award-nominated Nat Geo documentary, Sugarcane, which investigates abuses at an Indian residential school that ignite a reckoning on the nearby Sugarcane Reserve. During this unique fusion event, Mali and her band will perform live against the backdrop of the film. A pre-show panel discussion in the Salon at 6:30 pm.
