10th Annual Covenanter Scottish Festival & Highland Games

Featuring a variety of live music, games, demonstrations and other traditional activities to celebrate Scottish culture and history. Musical groups such as Charlie Zahm and Tad Marks, Fire in the Glen, the Philadelphia and District Pipe Band and Regimental Pipes and Drums will perform arrangements of Scottish music. Traditional instruments such as the bagpipe will be played. Highland games such as caber toss, contests for Scottish dancers & bagpipers, and demonstrations including sheep herding, duck herding, spinning and weaving will occur throughout the day. There will also be a ceremony to honor veterans of the Vietnam War and remember those who have served in the military. Vendors and Scottish clans will sell merchandise and food, as well as offer information on Scottish history. This is one of Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Church’s largest fundraisers.
