First Friday: Sounds Of Spring

First Friday: Sounds Of Spring

Lancaster Violinist Melody Brubaker Cliff will be featured in this free 30 minute First Friday concert in downtown Lancaster. Ms. Cliff’s passion is sharing the joy of music as concertmaster for Allegro Orchestra of Lancaster and as Orchestra Director for the Lower Dauphin School District. Her selections will include Rachmaninoff’s “Vocalise,” “Allegro Aperto” from Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, and a moving arrangement of the hymns “Jesus Paid It All” and “O Sacred Head, Now Wounded.” She will be accompanied at the piano by Larry Hershey. The First Friday concert series is a gift to the community from First Reformed Church, a center city congregation of the United Church of Christ. Only 30 minutes in length, the free concerts begin at 8 PM each First Friday for the convenience of those who wish to spend the early evening visiting downtown galleries before the concert. Doors open at 7:30 pm. All are welcome to hear 30 minutes of inspiring music that will refresh your soul and inspire your spirit.
