Lancaster County Master Gardener’s annual plant sale returns in person on Saturday, May 7th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Farm and Home Center, Lancaster PA.
Can’t wait to shop? There is an online presale beginning March 15 and ending April 20 featuring Master Gardener chosen garden kits for butterflies, sun, shade, and pollinators. Visit the “presale kit” webpage for more information and how to order kits.
The in-person sale will also include numerous varieties of native plants, plants for sun, shade, pollinators, perennials, and annuals. Also included are tomato and pepper plants as well as a variety of herbs for vegetable lovers.
New this year will be educational booths on Asian jumping worms, vermicomposting, native plants, terrariums, lawn and turfgrass care, bees, demonstration on DIY starter pots, and garden hotline.
Soil test kits will be available for purchase and an information desk for garden questions are also part of the event.
Plant buyers should plan to come early for best selection. Cash and checks are preferred, but credit card payments are accepted. Presented by Penn State Master Gardeners of Lancaster County, the sale supports the many programs offered to the community, including a Garden Hotline, demonstration gardens, and youth garden programs.
