Love Your Library Benefit Bash

The “Love Your Library Benefit Bash” is partly to raise funds for the Library and partly to just have fun, and it will definitely be FUN! This free-to-attend community event will be held instead of our annual Benefit Auction. There will be a variety of games and entertainment at no charge, but we are still considering it a fundraiser, as we will have Raffles and items up for Silent Auction and some of the games will cost a small fee. The charismatic Stan Tucker will emcee the event, and the Sound of Roses jazz band will provide live music. Balun Guy will be here creating how’d-he-do-that shapes, Miss Jan will have a variety of free activities for families, and attendees will have the opportunity to “Soak the (town) Celebrity” with water balloons. We will also have a Lego Contest where the community can vote on their favorite Lego creation, there will be Corn Hole games set up on the side lawn, and a variety of other fun games will be offered! Food Trucks scheduled for the event (and for the public in general) are: The BBQ Trough, Stoney’s Burgers and Fries, Spud Muffin, Cupcakes by Casey, and Sugar Swirl Cotton Candy. Mulberry Thrill of Marietta will be here with ice cream novelties for purchase, and the Friends of the Milanof-Shock Library plan to be here with a stand as well. We encourage and invite the community to attend this free public event! Remember that it will be in place of our annual benefit auction, so it will be a fundraiser as well as a family-friendly event.
