Join the Friends of the Tanger Arboretum as they kick off their 2023 Nature Series on Saturday, April 8 with “Growing Community through Urban Agriculture!” Presenter Madison Walter, urban agriculture coordinator for the New Castle Conservation District, will review what urban agriculture is, its different forms, and the surprising impacts it can make within a community. Participants will learn about how urban agriculture projects transform spaces and empower individuals to reclaim ownership of their environment. Walk away feeling inspired to get your hands dirty and grow something new this year!
HOW TO REGISTER
The event, “Growing Community through Urban Agriculture,” will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 10am at LancasterHistory. Tickets are $5/Adult (18+) and $3/Child. Friends of the Tanger Arboretum members receive complimentary admission, but should still register for the program. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling (717) 392-4633. Advance tickets recommended as the program has limited capacity.
