Open Streets Lancaster

Open Streets Lancaster, hosted by Lancaster Rec, closes Water Street (from Lemon Street to Conestoga Street) on a Sunday afternoon for the community to use. This FREE event joins more than 90 Open Streets initiatives across North America.
The streets become “paved parks” where people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds can come out to improve their physical health, learn about wellness and sharpen their mental health. In 2019, Open Streets had 8,000+ attendees and more than 200 vendors.
Open Streets Lancaster is different than a block party or street fair. It is part of a broad effort to encourage physical activity, and help people meet, make social connections, and re-imagine the City as a place to bike, skate, walk, etc for transportation. And yes, dogs are welcome!
