Come discover spring life at Hellam Hills Nature Preserve with Keith Williams, naturalist and community engagement coordinator for the Lancaster Conservancy. We’ll explore the forests, meadows, rock outcrops and river overlooks on this expansive preserve, discovering the abundance of life that arrives in the spring. Participants should dress for the weather, bring drinking water and snacks.
Where to Meet: The parking area at intersection of Chimney Rock and Furnace Roads
What to Expect: This will be a rigorous 3 mile hike on rocky trails with a few short steep ascents and descents. Recommended for ages 12 and up. No restroom facilities are available onsite. This event will run rain or shine. Severe weather cancellations will be made at the time of the event.
What to Bring: Dress for the weather. Wear sturdy shoes and bring drinking water and snacks.
