Blue Christmas Service at First Presbyterian Church Lancaster

Winter’s seasonal holidays are a time for celebration and renewal for most people. But for many in the Lancaster community, the sights, sounds and memories of the season can be stressful, even overwhelming, especially when a neighbor or loved one has faced a loss or is experiencing feelings of sadness. First Presbyterian

Church Lancaster and DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory are once again working together to recognize the grief that some in the community face this holiday season and offer support at the annual Blue Christmas service of remembrance and hope.

This interdenominational service offers a quiet place for grief to be acknowledged in the hustle and bustle of the holidays in a contemplative, candle-lit setting. The program will take place at 2pm on Sunday, December 4 in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church Lancaster, located at 140 East Orange Street. Those who are not quite ready for in-person gatherings may participate from the safety and comfort of their homes via LiveStream. Information about online viewing can be found at www.fpclancasterpa.org.

To add a name to the list of those honored, whether attending in-person or via LiveStream, please register online or call: 717-394-4097 (DeBord Snyder) or 717-394-6854 (FPC Lancaster).
