Winter doesn’t have to be spent cooped up indoors the entire season! Join us for Campfire Hikes starting from the Outdoor Nature Space at the Zimmerman Center for Heritage. Hikes will begin at 1:30 PM with a Susquehanna NHA guide leading participants at a leisurely pace through Native Lands County Park. These walks are rated moderate to easy and are appropriate for both adults and children. Please dress accordingly for walking through a winter wonderland for an hour or more. Themes will vary depending on the guide, group interests, and weather. Hikes will conclude with a cup of hot chocolate in hand while warming up next to a toasty campfire!
Registration is required. $5 for adults, ages 16 & under are free.
Program may be canceled in the event of snow or poor weather conditions. Refunds will be provided.
Campfire Hikes are an outdoor program and will not be held inside the Zimmerman Center. Please dress for the weather!
New for this year! If there is a sufficient layer of snow cover, snowshoes will be available for a snowshoe hike through Native Lands County Park.
