The annual Civil War weekend at Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum returns to its traditional July dates. Join the museum the weekend of July 16 & 17 for an event full of activities and demonstrations. On July 16, the event will begin at 10:00 am and end at 4:00 pm. On July 17, the event will begin at noon and end at 4:00 pm.
The activities scheduled across both days include:
- Musket Demonstrations
- Children’s Musket Drill
- Hands on Craft Activities for Children in our Education Building
- Union Generals, Infantry, and Cavalry Reenactors and their Encampment
- Tools of Civil War Field Medicine and Surgery
- Displays of Artifacts from the Patriot Daughters of Lancaster and Associates
- Examples of Civil War Artillery
- Display Highlighting the Work of the US Sanitary Commission
