Damsels and dragons may conjure up images of fairytales and medieval times, but in this presentation, we will be learning about the iconic, acrobatic fliers, damselflies and dragonflies! We’ll be learning all about their anatomy, life cycle, what they can tell us about water quality, and their place in the food chain of wetland ecosystems. Local and national organizations and research programs will also be discussed as well as tips on ID’ing and photographing these amazing creatures! This event is recommended for ages 8+. Restrooms are available onsite. The event will run rain or shine, with cancellations for severe weather made at the time of the event. Dress for the weather, and bring any desired water or snacks.
