The Lancaster Medical Heritage Museum, a 501(c)3 non profit is excited to announce a heartwarming and educational event designed to alleviate children’s anxiety about doctor visits and explore the world of healthcare while having fun. The “Teddy Bear Clinic” offers a unique and interactive experience that empowers kids to become more at ease with medical check-ups by involving their trusted stuffed companions. The Teddy Bear Clinic promises an array of engaging activities. The Wellness Check for Stuffed Animals will include checking-in, height & weight measurement, ‘listening’ to their heartbeat with a stethoscope, and a mock vaccination. The Teddy Bear Hospital will involve experienced volunteers in the mending of any “injuries” or “illnesses” they may have. At the Interaction With Healthcare Professionals area, children will have the chance to meet doctors, nurses, and other medical staff who will share their expertise and answer questions.
