Unsheltered Perspectives: An Art Show of the Works from the Residents at the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.
Join Pennsylvania Art Education Association (PAEA)’s Professional Concerns chair, Lyndsay Rose, for an artist talk at the Lancaster Museum of Art discussing and highlighting the artworks of incarcerated youth residing at the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.
Students responded to prompts in relation to Mental Health Awareness Month, using multidisciplinary art mediums and poetry. Lyndsay will be sharing the perspectives of her students as well as sharing insights into what it is like teaching art in an incarcerated setting.
Students residing at the center are males and females between the ages of ten and eighteen that have been placed in either the Detention or Shelter Care program.
Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served from 4:00-6:00 pm. Please bring your mask.
